Overview of the IYT® International Grandmaster Program

Eligibility Criteria


To qualify for this esteemed position, candidates must meet specific eligibility requirements:


  • EIYT® Certification
    : A minimum of 1500 hours of training accredited by IYO®.

  • IYT® International Diamond Yoga Ambassador Status
    : This status signifies a high level of commitment and contribution to the yoga community.

  • Affiliation with an IYO® Certified School
    : Candidates must have been certified for a minimum of three years.

  • Teaching Experience
    : At least 15 years of teaching experience is required.

  • Registered IYT® Teachers
    : A significant number of registered IYT® teachers must be associated with the candidate's school.


These criteria ensure that only the most qualified and dedicated individuals are considered for the Grandmaster position.


Nomination Process


The nomination process for the IYT® International Grandmaster program is comprehensive and involves several steps:


  1. Application Submission
    : Interested candidates must submit a formal application.

  2. Credential Verification
    : All submitted credentials will be thoroughly verified.

  3. Evaluation of Experience and Contributions
    : The candidate's experience and contributions to the yoga community will be assessed.

  4. Approval by the IYO® Grandmaster Selection Committee
    : Final approval will be granted by the committee based on the evaluations.


Nominations are accepted until January 28th, 2026. Evaluation and announcements will occur following the nomination period.
